A British Young Man Visit Kuru Om for Teaching and Learning

William Pearson

"The school is a lively and stimulating place for students to work in, there is a good staff of highly competent teachers who are all very friendly and clearly know how to educate effectively. The school teaches a good range of subjects from Hindi and English to math and social sciences. Helping with the English and English grammar classes has been a great experience and the students are all very eager to learn. I also had the opportunity to provide simple presentations in computer classes on how to use Microsoft Word and Powerpoint, which were appreciated. All in all, it has been an educational experience."

Prestigious Fulbright Fellow teaches at Kuru Om Vidyalaya

Maureen

Kuru Om Vidyalaya has attracted an educator, Dr. Maureen Hall, to visit Kuru Om Vidyalaya, teach students, and train teachers through the internationally prestigious Fulbright Fellow program.

“I am so looking forward to my Fulbright experience in India," commented  Dr. Maureen Hall, an Associate Professor of Education in the School of Education, Public Policy, and Civic Engagement, who traveled  to India during the 2010-2011 academic year to conduct research on the Super Accelerated Learning Theory (SALT). This work grew out of her collaborative efforts with the Center for Indic Studies at the University.  "I see myself as a sentry whose role is to bring American ideas to India and gather new ideas from India, helping to create fresh and synergistic views and approaches for improving teaching and learning.”

~ Dr. Maureen Hall
